This glossary has been being compiled by the author of Pota Focal since 2007. It is the oldest part of Pota Focal; in fact, it was Pota Focal once! It is also one of the oldest Irish dictionaries online.
Tá an t-údar buíoch dá leathbhádóir dochloíte Ivana V. a rinne cuid mhaith d’ábhar na gluaise a ionchur sa ríomhaire i mblianta tosaigh an tionscadail agus a chum an t-ainm ‘Pota Focal’ féin. Chomh maith leis sin, tá buíochas mór ag dul do na céadta duine a thuairiscigh botúin litrithe agus eile ar feadh na mblianta — is mór an cuidiú sibh!
The author is grateful to his indefatigable companion Ivana V. who had input much of the glossary into the computer in the project’s early years and who coined the name ‘Pota Focal’. Huge thanks also to the hundreds of people who have been reporting spelling and other mistakes over the years — you have been a big help!
